"Innovation, interaction, and imagination"

Martha  ...

Martha was born in Germany and lived in Poland for a while. Her family then moved to England. Martha is from what was a very close-knit Romany family which sadly suffered a series of devastating blows that have caused her to be placed at Haven Hope. Since her family was traumatised, Martha has had the responsibility for looking after her baby brother Sebastian.  She would like to be able to return to being the young girl she really is but she seems to have forgotten how to play and have fun.

At Haven Hope, Martha doesn't play much with the other characters but usually sits watching quietly. She does love being around people even though she is currently unable to express this and she especially enjoys helping to look after the animals including the rescued horses in the newly renovated stables. Martha has been watching Alice draw and she herself is practising drawing. Alice only has to look at something once before she can draw it almost perfectly and Martha is fascinated by this skill.

The large-sized doll Martha is stuffed with hypo-allergenic polyester stuffing and has a floppy body. Size approx. 45cm
